- Aminkeng A. Alemanji.
Aminkeng A Alemanji (Amin) is a researcher on race, racism, antiracism and antiracism education in Finland. His research focuses on developing different strategies and methods of antiracism education in and out of schools. In January (2022) he released Finland’s first Antiracism mobile application – Finland without Racism, available for download on the Google play store and iOS store. Besides being a Docent in Sociology with specific expertise in Studies in Diversity, he is currently the Program Director and Senior Lecturer for the Master of Social Exclusion at Åbo Akademi University, where he recently edited – Contemporary Discourse in Social Exclusion 2023.
- Katriina Nousiainen Johtava asiantuntija Valtioneuvoston kanslia ( VNK)
Katriina Nousiainen works at the Prime Minister’s Office, where she coordinates the implementation of the Government’s Action plan against racism. Before that, she has worked as an expert in the promotion of equality at the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of the Interior since 2002. Katriina Nousiainen started her career in the Government in 2000, when she coordinated the reception and placement of quota refugees. Katriina has a passion for network-based equality work, as she believes in dialogue and communication as a driver for better policies. Katriina gained personal experience of immigration during her studies, when she lived in Germany and the United Kingdom for seven years.
- Meg Sakilayan-Latvala is the Chairperson of Anti-Racist Forum (ARF) and a member of the anti-racism network steering committee of the Prime Minister’s Office of Finland. Through her work with ARF, she contributes to advancing critical and intersectional approaches to anti-racism in Finland and to strengthening the role of civil society in holding institutions accountable. ARF was commissioned by the European Network Against Racism to produce a shadow report assessing Finland’s National Action Plan against Racism, which Meg co-authored. Meg is a social psychologist, a senior lecturer at Diaconia University of Applied Sciences, and a community organiser, whose work focuses on addressing structural racism and inequity in Finland, including its impact on migrant communities and other racialized groups.
