Ufoka Eugene, is a pan-African political and human rights activist, community organizer, and an agent of change. He is best known for his activism advocacy work on the emancipation of African peoples and the development of the African continent.
Eugene has deep interest in issues of diplomacy, political participation, social inclusion, democracy, gender equality, equity, and prevention of radical extremism.
Eugene is also passionate about advocacy service for communities that are under threat, face discrimination, or are otherwise disadvantaged.

Libin Mohamed came to Finland as a refugee from Kenya and has been living in Finland for more than 20 years. Currently studying to become a Community Educator. She joined AFARS because she wanted to address social problems such as racism, social injustice, and institutional discrimination that people from African backgrounds face daily. She wants to give a voice to those who are unable to defend themselves, for example, because of their language skills.

Ursula Hugho Kinabo earned her Bachelor of Social Services degree from Tampere University of Applied Sciences and is currently pursuing a Master of Community Development and Conflict Resolution degree at Diaconia University of Applied Sciences. She has been working in the field of social care for the past nine years. One of Ursula’s dreams is to work with immigrant children and families in Finland – because she feels that it is a privilege to be a part of any process which will bring positive impact and change in the future.
She is passionate about minority rights and resolving social conflicts.

Electa Akinyi Kamara has spent her adult life in community development work as a social work professional and a women’s rights activist. Her true passion is to promote a society where the marginalised groups, especially women and children, have equal access to rights and opportunities to reach their potential. She has consistently advocated for the participation of women in decision-making processes. While her focus is on women and children, she is dedicated to supporting communities and individuals in their process of self-conscious struggles. Electa has experience in project management, strategic thinking, networking, and community organising, among others.
